Instructions for Use

Initially, more is recommended to build our reserves up to an optimum quantity and then once this is done, the serving size can be reduced by half to maintain a satisfactory DHA level.

It takes approximately 6 months to raise the blood levels of DHA and 12 months to raise the tissue levels.

Softgels: You only need 3 megaOmega® Softgels a day to obtain optimal health! This can be reduced to 2 a day after 3 months for maintenance.

Algae Oil: You only need one full dropper of megaOmega® Oil a day to obtain optimal health! This can be reduced to one half dropper a day after 3 months for maintenance.

Note: megaOmega® can be taken any time – however, it’s best with breakfast.

Algae Oil Softgels

Ingredients:

Liquid ingredients: Water Extracted Chromista Algae Oil – Schizochytrium sp., natural tocopherol as antioxidant.

Veg-Softgel ingredients: corn starch (non GMO/gluten free), carrageenan (from edible seaweed), vegetable glycerine, purified water.

The algae we use is a single cell organism that has no known allergies.

The carrageenan in our soft gel casing is extracted from Irish Moss, a red edible seaweed. It is a safe, food grade carrageenan that is non toxic and not carcinogenic.

Many people confuse safe food grade carrageenan with an industrial use form with a similar name such as iso-carrageenan that is modified.

Recommended Servings:

Rapid DHA Serving Size:

ADULT: 3 softgels per day = 1050mg DHA for minimum 3 months

CHILD: 2 softgels per day = 700mg DHA for minimum 3 months (under adult supervision)

Standard Serving Size:

ADULT: 2 softgels per day = 700mg DHA

CHILD: 1 softgel per day = 350mg DHA (under adult supervision)

Baby DHA – alternative options

Although the megaOmega Baby DHA product has been discontinued, not all is lost and this product can be substituted.

We have found that many mothers have opted to supply their babies with the same oil that they have been taking – the 50ml bottle that has a slight lemon flavour. It is safe as the amount of organic lemon oil is very minute and poses no risk to pregnant women, infants and children. Otherwise, the capsules can be broken and the unflavoured liquid can be squeezed out to include in your baby’s daily nourishment routine to support optimum health.

We would suggest the following serving sizes:

Babies (newborn to 2 years): 10 drops per day (0.5mL) or contents of 1 softgel

Children (2-4 years): 20 drops per day (1mL) or contents of 1-2 softgels

Children (6-12years): 25 drops per day (1.5mL) or contents of 2 softgels
