megaOmega® Algae Oil is derived from a select, unadulterated (non-genetically modified and chemical-free) wild-type strain of Chromista algae (Schizochytrium sp.). The algae is cultured indoors in carefully monitored, quality-controlled tanks using pure water and pure ingredients, completely free from environmental exposures. These controlled conditions are essential to eliminate any risk of contamination and to ensure suitability for people with compromised health conditions.

The algae oil is produced using a patented water-based extraction process that isolates the oil without the use of solvents, hexane, alcohol, or external enzymes at any stage of manufacture.
